Brief Historical Background of M.P :
Many great kings viz Emperor Ashoka, the Sungas , Chandragupta Vikramadittya, King Harsh, Raja Bohoj , the Chandela warriors, the Delhi Sultan’s and the great Mugals have ruled in Madhya Pradesh in the past. Madhya Pradesh has been a well-known center of the learning too. Through the years there has been a mingling of various religions; Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism and Islam- giving rise to vivacious art and the architectural forms.

Geography of M.P
Madhya Praedsh is a state with a natural grandeur. Its vast plateau is broken up by the mighty Vindhya and Satpura mountains and is streaked by numerous rivers inclusive of majestic Narmada, Chambal, Betwa and Shipra rivers. These intersections of plateau, hills and rivers have given rise to spectacular scenery. The eastern plateau is densely forested while in the west , the Malwa region is blessed with agricultural beauty with rich crops of wheat and cotton.

The Narmada and Tapti valleys have long served as a passageway and connecting east and west India, carrying the legendary wealth of India to distant lands.

Madhya Pradesh has some of the finest game reserves in Asia, with largest assortment of wildlife in the country, ranging from big cats to exotic birds.

Travel Treasures : Having experienced the golden period of the unending Indian history most of the places in M.P are historically significant and are also rich in culture & tradition.  These are namely Gwalior, Orchha, Khajuraho, Bhopal, Sanchi, Jabalpur, Indore, Ujjain, Mandu, Omareshwar, Maheshwar etc. 

Among the above places three sites have been declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO namely Khajuraho temples, Sanchi Stupa and the rock shelters of Bhimbetka.

Wild Shelters (National Parks) : Blessed with green and deep forest cover maximum in the country. M.P enjoys the maximum number of nature reserves and national parks in the country. These national parks are home to many species of wild animals where they are well protected and gets natural habitat for their most natural life.   To name a few of them are Kanha national park, Bandhavgarh, Pench, Satpura, Panna national park etc.

Well forested, especially in the Vindhya-Kuimur, the Satpura, the Maikala ranges and the Baghelkhand plateau and being rich in wildlife M.P had been declared as the TIGER STATE OF INDIA. 

A comfortable Madhya Pradesh package tour should consist of at least two weeks which could incorporate Madhya Pardesh’s cultural, historical and heritage places and a national park or two.

The Natural Beauty !  These are natural wonders, M.P is showered with beautiful hill ranges namely Vindhyas & Satpura and are fed by some of the Peninsula’s major rivers, such as the Narmada and the Mahanadi.

The two rivers namely Narmada originates from Amarkantk and the Tapti from Multai, they  flow from east to west direction The other important rivers namely Sone, Chambal, Betwa, Mahanadi flows from west to east direction.

The flowing rivers, the lush green mountains, the dense forests, the beautiful valleys and the vast plains have provided M.P the amazing natural beauty and made this state a paradise for travelers. Beautiful hill stations which are unexplored and untouched hills are Shivpuri, Amakkantak and Pachmarhi. These places offer lavish geography.

Jabalpur offers a beautiful natural wonder where the Narmada river flows between the seven coloured marble mountains and one can enjoy this beauty on a boat ride over the Narmada river flowing between the marble mountains. 

Innocent Inhabitants : M.P is home of the largest concentration of India’s 22 million tribal people. These innocent inhabitants were driven from the well watered Gangetic plains by its succession of invaders, took refuge on my soil. One can see innocent tribal people at Dindori, Kundam and Kawardha.
