Satpura National Park was set up in 1981. The topography of the Satpura national park is very uneven and consists of sandstone peaks, thin ravine and thick forests. The elevation is from 300 to 1,352 meters. Dhoopgarh peak comes under its range with a height of 4,430 feet.
